This information may be necessary to operate Chiply's marketplace, governance, recipient-selection, transaction, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution systems.
1.4 Drop and Item Information
Users who create or participate in Drops may provide information such as:

- Transfer terms

- Ownership or possession information

Some of this information may be displayed publicly as part of a Drop.

Chiply does not intend to continuously track a user's precise location merely because the user has the Platform installed or maintains an account.

Users may control device-level location permissions through their device settings, although disabling location access may prevent certain Chiply features from functioning.
1.7 Messaging and Communications Information
Chiply may collect and store communications exchanged through the Platform.

- Determine Recipient placement

Chiply's recipient-selection process is an automated Platform mechanism governed by Chiply's Terms of Service and applicable Platform rules.
The use of automation does not prevent Chiply from reviewing fraud, errors, disputes, suspicious activity, or violations of Platform rules.
Chiply may also use automated fraud-detection, moderation, security, risk-management, and decision-support technologies.
Chiply does not publicly disclose proprietary algorithms, anti-fraud methods, security systems, or other information when disclosure could undermine Platform integrity or security.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Chiply's websites and applications may use cookies, software development kits, local storage, pixels, session technologies, and similar technologies.
These technologies may be used to:

Chiply may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:

These systems are separate from Chiply's core REP ID and recipient-selection mechanics except where specifically incorporated into those systems.
Chiply may manually review matters where appropriate.

Chiply retains information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or for legitimate business, security, financial, compliance, or legal purposes.
Factors affecting retention may include the need to:

- Enforce Platform policies

Different categories of information may have different retention periods.
Information may be retained after an account is closed where reasonably necessary for these purposes.
When information is no longer reasonably necessary, Chiply may delete, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with applicable requirements and operational practices.
13. Account Deletion
Users may request deletion of their account through available Platform functionality or by contacting Chiply.
Account deletion may result in:
- Loss of Platform access
- Loss of account history visibility
- Loss of future participation rights
- Loss of Platform benefits associated with the account
Account deletion does not necessarily result in deletion of every record associated with the account.
Chiply may retain information where reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with law
- Maintain financial or transaction records
- Investigate fraud
- Investigate chargebacks
- Resolve disputes
- Prevent repeat abuse
- Enforce Platform policies
- Maintain Platform integrity

Historical transaction, REP ID, Recipient, Drop, transfer, fraud-prevention, and compliance records may therefore remain associated with an internal account record after the user's active account has been closed.
14. U.S. Privacy Rights
Depending on where you reside and whether applicable privacy laws apply to Chiply, you may have rights concerning your personal information.
These rights may include the right to:
- Request information about personal information collected about you
- Request access to personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Request deletion of certain personal information
- Obtain a portable copy of certain information
- Opt out of certain forms of data sale or sharing
- Limit certain uses of sensitive personal information

These rights are subject to applicable exceptions and limitations.
For example, Chiply may be permitted or required to retain information needed for transaction records, fraud prevention, security, disputes, legal compliance, accounting, tax obligations, or legal claims.
Chiply may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.
Where legally permitted, an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf, subject to appropriate verification.
Where applicable law provides a right to appeal a privacy-request decision, an appeal may be submitted through Chiply's designated contact process.
15. California Privacy and Tracking Disclosures
California residents may have additional rights under California privacy laws where those laws apply to Chiply.
Chiply does not currently sell personal information for monetary consideration.
Chiply does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) setting. Because there is not a universally accepted standard governing DNT signals, Chiply does not currently respond to conventional browser DNT signals unless required by applicable law.
Where applicable law requires recognition of legally valid browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”), Chiply will process those signals as required by law.
16. Security
Chiply uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, acquisition, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

No security system can guarantee absolute security.
Users are responsible for protecting their login credentials, maintaining control over devices used to access Chiply, and promptly notifying Chiply of suspected unauthorized access.
17. Children's Privacy
Chiply is intended only for individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years old.
Individuals under eighteen (18) are not permitted to create accounts or use the Platform.
Chiply does not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under eighteen for the purpose of permitting them to participate in the Platform.
If Chiply learns that an individual under eighteen has created an account or provided personal information in violation of Platform requirements, Chiply may terminate the account and take reasonable steps to delete or restrict the associated information, subject to legal, fraud-prevention, security, and recordkeeping requirements.
18. International Users
Chiply is intended primarily for use within the United States.
If the Platform becomes available to users outside the United States, information may be transferred to, processed in, or stored in the United States or other jurisdictions in which Chiply's service providers operate.
Additional restrictions or disclosures may apply before Chiply makes services available in particular jurisdictions.
19. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Chiply may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in:
